Why do I paint?  
Perhaps because it was all I really felt I could do.  At first.  It certainly was all I really wanted to do!  Now, after some 35 plus years and billions of hours I realize I’ve always been trying to recreate the world and mold it into something I can live in!  It has been my quest, my means of expression, my search for self.  It is my true spirituality, my form of worship.  It is who I am and how I see.  Before I knew these things, I was vulnerable!  Now that I have come to know these things, I am empowered!  I quote a phrase that says more than I can invent, and I thank its author for having written it.  Every time I read it I am humbled, thankful and my heart reminds me who and why I am.  Written for French Post-impressionist, Louis Labro-Font, 1881-1952, a man of simplicity, lover of nature and all creation, whose art was his life, it speaks for the beauty found in so many artists…and I hope, for me as well.
